I’ve been putting off planning for the 2020-2021 school year for a while, but the other day I finally sat down and created a chart listing all the material we’ll be (hopefully!) using this year. It’s a lot, which can be overwhelming, but we rotate Social Studies, Science, and Art with unit studies every 4-6 weeks to make it manageable. And if we don’t get to it, no worries. Subjects and topics tend to cycle through every 3-4 years, and who here hasn’t learned something new as an adult? I’m learning and relearning ideas and concepts everyday with my kids.
